Sometimes, when I just want to work on my embouchure, I find writing tune keeps me playing for longer than if I were just practicing. Whilst it's good for my mouth muscles etc I now feel like I've been smacked in the mouth! :)😀

I feel lucky to escape the world from time to time. Don't get me wrong, I feel it necessary to keep up to date with what's happening but also love it when I get respite. Music transcends but being the type of musician I am, I often comment on what's going on around me all be it not always overtly

Having great fun at the St Ives school of painting. I can't say I was feeling my post, a wee bit over tired post Ritoximab injection, which always tires me...but who cares. Lovely day and off for a nice meal tonight .

A beautifu knife that was used to stab the haggis. It has a tiny knife and fork as part of it. A beautiful, if potentially lethal object. I ‘saxed’ in the haggis last night.

Photos from one of my favourite train journeys. Just waiting for the direct train now to Broughty Ferry. Unfortunately my favourite train ride today made me feel quite travel sick and it doesn’t usually. Quite glad I have a break between trains.

Russell building Haematology. I spent a lot of time here over the last 11 years. It is both comforting and a scary place to have to come.

My log man decided he was coming at 7.30 am. I woke at 6 and, after breakfast, thermalled up and set to. I quite enjoyed it and the only bit that was cold were my feet despite two pairs of socks and good walking boots. Good sky at that time in the morning too.
