Or due to every other causality of every other "skirmish" we have, now that we've shown the other side that our weapons *aren't loaded.*

2/ ERs + for their healthcare needs, which means even folks w/ other forms of healthcare insurance will face very challenging conditions if they ever have need of emergency/in-patient care.

People still don't get that our healthcare outcomes are extremely interconnected (unless you're super rich).

It's going to hurt everyone who uses the ACA, b/c younger, healthier people in *every* state will take a health gamble & drop their policies, leaving only high-use healthcare consumers on ACA plans, which will then raise prices even more & tank the entire ACA.

Prior ACA folks will then start using

4/ letting Senators know that, rather than hiding behind 8 frontman betrayers, they need to pull those 8 back in line & vote a unified NO against the funding bill itself. But they weren't - apparently, they actually would (far) rather mourn than organize. Performative indignation.

Voters gen. get

3/ their cake & eat it, too: the shutdown's "over"; you can fly to your aunt's for Thanksgiving, no worries; but you still get to act indignant that Senators dropped the ball (which is what constituents are doing, too; dropping it).

Folks should have been out on the street today by the millions...

2/ yes votes back to no at the final vote (which can happen; it has happened as recently as this year).

And likewise, constituents want this to be over, & acting like the vote to advance the bill to debate & a floor vote was actually a vote that *ended* the shutdown meant that they could have...
