Went to my Writer's Critique Group after being absent for a few weeks. Wrote something as a writing exercise, just to get some words on a page. Got some good feedback about it. Saw some new faces there, too, which is always exciting.

Got a Netflix subscription to keep myself distracted from constant anxiety over reading the news every day.
I watched the first season of Wednesday. It was great! I love most of the characters and the sets. I also loved their interpretation of the Addams Family, and Uncle Fester in particular.

I asked my doctor to increase the dosage on my anti-anxiety meds. I am trying to remain calm in the wake of our wonderful president's chaotic decisions.
I expect to start getting large medical bills again if Medicaid is gone.

Odd questions for friends that suffer from depression- Does your depression tend to manifest during a certain time of day?
I'm just now noticing that I tend to be depressed in the morning/noon, but my feelings improv as it goes into the afternoon and night.

A lot of my friends are preparing to leave Facebook because of Zuck's announcements. I've always treated FB like a phone book, it's where most of my friends are. I can't leave yet, because most of my social life is on there. I'm trying to use bluesky more, but it's difficult (low engagement so far).

Chapter 2 is meant to be a dialogue-heavy chapter. I tried to fill in the spots between dialogue with interesting detail.
The group consensus was that my dialogue was great, but everything else needs some work.

I've completed another 2k words for the second chapter of my WIP. Going to the Writer's Critique meetup tonight to get suggestions and corrections. Going to edit that later this week and send out a copy to some selected beta readers after that.
