Lazy.
But I can do it while singing, so it's ✨ different ✨
Seeing the pieces appearing in real time, and seeing how it looked different when using a different resolution, seeing it feel different when switching from CRT to LCD... As a kid, this was something really special

The organ jungle at the beginning, the occasional door that opens, and the owl!

Easily Prince Of Persia. It *required* to get to the point of muscle memory taking over if you wanted to finish it, otherwise time runs out and you can say good-bye to the princess.

What's Ganon doing in Star Wars

Knew this official explanation didn't make any sense 😆

"Start" "continue" and "finish" are usually all 3 very different stages in a timeline.

...yet, this wizard manages to make them all designate one same step, in a sentence that almost doesn't require a PHD to decipher 🧠

Is what you shout when you realize you failed to set up OBS

Thinking about it: unlike AOD, this line fixes the original issue with mentioning "Action" instead of "Jump" to swim. But even the remasters' modern controls don't use that (it's Forward), so the change doesn't seem specific to the remasters.
Maybe an actual original recording which was recovered?
September 20, 2025 at 10:59 AM
Because the text didn't match the actual input required. For AOD it was specific to the remasters, but for TR5 it was a mistake already in the OG (she was telling to use Action to swim instead of Jump)

People say the TR5 line is just a cut and not AI. And to be fair, it does sound like it could be that (the voice is quite natural, not like the AOD ones), but if so it's taken from other bits because the "vers l'avant" clearly doesn't end the same way as the original line.

They *mostly* do. Slight differences can be explained by the resolution difference I guess... For others, choices were made :D

It's the one that appeared in Windows 95 and remained until Vista included (except Vista had slightly modernized icons)
August 23, 2025 at 7:27 AM
Yep. We just have to keep that it's not the customers who decide to protest that should get the blame. If anything, it's part of a larger battle: protecting people's art, and that would include the team's devs if they were to be affected.
It's the greedy people at some company that are to blame.
August 18, 2025 at 9:15 PM
This is not a fan project here, even if fans worked on it. There's still a company behind which makes money, and they're taking some absolutely unethical shortcuts. You can't just steal someone's voice (or any art), make it your own for free, and put it in a product that you make money of.
August 18, 2025 at 9:04 PM
Also it's not about discrediting the rest of the remaster. It's about asking this "error" to be fixed. It can be by just removing the lines and keeping text, by stitching original lines, or by actually hiring actual VA. Any solution, as long as it respects the VA.
August 18, 2025 at 9:02 PM
It's not about blaming the dev team. We don't know who decided to use AI. Facts are, someone decided the lines had to be voiced, and someone decided that it would have to be done with AI, which we can assume is because there was not enough budget. But either way, the way things were done is wrong.
