Today's lecture for intro to marine bio was on #algae, so I gave the kids a chance to try foods containing kelp (salsa, chili krisp, and shortbread cookies), foods with carrageenan (ice cream and chocolate milk), and agar (boba with tapioca pearls)

The front of my new scuba logbook has a photo of a Tursiops leaping out of the water. I spent way too much time in grad school staring at Tursiops flipper radiographs, so I decided to take some paint markers and decorate the back of the logbook to match.
