6. You’re lacking accountability. We all have the tools to be great. Now, even more so than ever. But that doesn’t mean we all have it in us to do it alone. Find someone who will hold you accountable and call you out when you are making excuses.

5. You’re not focusing on recovery. Training 7 days a week isn’t always the best. Prioritise sleep and you’ll see significantly more improvement

4. You aren’t consistent with your training. You can’t train for a week, take a week off, train for 2 weeks, take 3 off and expect to build muscle. Having a training plan you actually enjoy will make sticking to it that much easier

3. You’re not training hard enough. If you’re still bench pressing the same weight as last year then you need to step it up. Your body is clever, if it can already handle that weight, it has no reason to build more muscle

2. You’re not eating enough. Far too often guys come to me saying they want to build muscle but don’t want to eat too much and get fat. You won’t get fat if you’re eating the right things

1. Change isn’t always good. Stop changing your workout every week. Muscle growth comes form increasing strength, intensity and improving technique
