I have big nostalgia for the original that came out in 1982. It was mind blowing at the premiere of the movie when they had the arcade game at the entrance of the theater. The video game also came out on Atari at around the same time. The story set in a computer world was also revolutionary then.

Will, I believe you are correct about the motive of the shooter, based on evidence in the indictment. However, it’s baseless to claim the Groyper theory was an intentional lie in the face of “clear evidence.” The indictment has the FIRST clear evidence. The engravings were groyper-like shitposting.

In the US, they make you President if you are a chronic tax cheat, like Trump. The Trump Organization was hit with $1.6 million in fines for a long-running tax fraud scheme. In 2020, it was reported that Trump paid no federal income taxes in 10 of past 15 years.

Halloween is a much bigger event in the US, when compared to the UK. So, while pumpkin patches are not unheard of, they certainly would not be ubiquitous.

Honest critique here: it’s a little unclear what you mean when you say the Right wants to “abolish[]” “pluralistic democracy”. It would be clearer to say the dominant strain of the Right wants White Supremacy or White Nationalism or a White Ethno-State, as the linked article states.
