Apropos to nothing at all Thanksgiving-related, here’s a pair of cheeky Sulphur-crested cockatoos spotted in the Sydney Royal Domain.

Sitting on the runway in Sydney. Leaving Australia to return ‘home’. I don’t recommend it. Here was last night’s final sunset in Macquarie Park. Appropriately sublime.

Hello, Melbourne. Nice to be back.

Early Sunday morning in Oz and this #AT40 from ‘78 makes me want to go back to sleep so here’s an actual selfie taken the other day in Sydney Harbour. Cheers, gang.

1972 dirty 30 sounds fine even when it’s coming up on 4:30 am Sunday in Sydney. Photo was snapped in the inner west suburb of Balmain yesterday. #AT40

As someone who loathes E Tennessee but loves Pat Summit, this was a pleasant find in a W Knoxville Kroger.

During an #AT40 dud I flipped to the Springsteen channel, where a live show from Jan 2017 in Adelaide AUS was playing. A show I literally drove all night from my home in Melbourne to attend. Because I needed to hear an American decry Trump’s racist policies. Springsteen did not disappoint.

With the Yankees playing Boston in a do-or-die game tonight, I thought it appropriate to wear a t-shirt with a 47-year-old box score on the back. I was 12 on Oct 2 1978, but it remains the greatest day of my baseball-fan life.

A poorly conceived compilation album that marketed the Beatles as 50s-era teens, seemingly inspired by the popularity of ‘Happy Days’.

In ANY OTHER country this headline forces introspection and despair. In this ‘proudly Christian state’, only listless shrugs.

Here’s a clip from Lucero frontman Ben Nichols’ solo show Tues night in Knoxville. This is most of ‘Fading Back Into the Night’ from his brilliant new album Into the Heart of the Mountain.

At 12, I was already a radio geek when WKRP first aired in Sept '78. Its premise kept me glued, despite the show getting knocked around by CBS. All TV shows needed a bombshell in the '70s, but Loni Anderson was different. Confident, serene, tough. RIP to a great one.

Well, didn’t expect to post this anywhere, but here’s the freshly cut pile of hair I had lopped off this week. #AT40
