I was hungry. It was a "buy one get one free" deal. The truth of the matter is after decades of making fun of all things pumpkin spice I bought pumpkin spice English muffins. Toasted with butter they were fabulous. The humanity ...

Yet again, the @tennessee-titans.bsky.social tell us with a new high-draft quarterback everything is going to be magic and wonderful. Yet again, Lucy yanks the football away. But new stadium.

Getting shot at a political rally shouldn't happen. Neither should getting shot during English class.

It's always remarkable to see an NFL team take the number one draft pick and the really reverse their fortunes. Sadly, I don't think it's ever going to happen for the TTitans.

You do not ever want to mess with a librarian. Public library, school library, it doesn't matter. They are known for showing spines.

By the end of opening weekend, four of the top 10 college teams will have lost. What I'm wondering is, if AI was involved will people blame that, or will they say AI should've done the picking instead of humans because it would've done a better job - with absolutely no evidence to back that up?

@espn.com every year I want to give your streaming a chance and every year you do something bonehead like drop your stream feed in the last two minutes of an interesting game.

Oh dear, Trump voters are finding out that cuts in the BBB and elsewhere don't have carb out exemptions for their family and their needs. Did you think there was gonna be some sort of free pass to keep getting Medicaid or whatever program you rely on based on your voting history?

Lots of think pieces out in recent days about how expensive AI launches are failing. Much hand-wringing. Why? Many reasons given, but not much focus on the fact that execs are so dazzled by the thought of getting to fire half of their workforce they will buy anything put in front of them.

I honestly didn't think I would see the words "AI" and "bubble" in the same media sentence before this fall. It really does do things faster!

Dear Elected Representatives: When you are yelled at during public appearances, it is not "the angry left" doing so. It is another group with whom you are unfamiliar. Your constituents.

At this stage in the first Trump administration, I recall being told to "calm down and chill out" by a lot of people, usually white heterosexuals in the suburbs. I'm not hearing that this time.

I am seeing a strong resemblance between the executives who are currently bellowing "do it with AI" as to those who have been screaming "just fix it in the Photoshop" for the last 20 years.

The very same parents who were winning court cases by claiming they should control their children's education are the same ones deciding what other people's children should not be allowed to read. Book banning is book burning. Book burning is fascism.
