Hit by a car cycling home from work today. I’m okay (and very grateful for it), my bike isn’t. My Apple Watch realised I’d had a hard fall and tried to call 999 for me. I was able to tell it in time that I didn’t need help, but I’m still very impressed that the feature worked so well.

Paediatric guidelines do state that ventilation is a particularly important component of CPR in children & advocate up to 5 attempts at achieving effective rescue breaths, before moving to compressions.
Have same caveat that if unable / unwilling, compression only CPR should still be performed.

As they’re back in the Resus Council UK BLS guidelines (went during peak COVID-19) it’s probably reasonable to teach them. Many people will not be willing / comfortable to attempt though. If so, there’s no debate that compression only CPR is extremely worthwhile so should still be performed.

So ends another fantastic #moseleyfolk festival. Belle & Sebastian every bit as brilliant and entertaining as you’d hope for. Perfect way to round off the summer, feeling very grateful.

One of the many things I miss about my time living in 🏴 is the humble Macaroni Pie! Got nostalgic recently so tried making my own. I’m not usually much of a baker (humble brag 🚨), but quite pleased with these for a first go. For better or worse, whole family now converted to pasta wrapped in pastry
