For 40 years, until December 2024, SK owned a radio group in Bangor, ME consisting of 3 radio stations. In the late 2000s when one of his works came out he secured an advanced copy & the stations gave away tickets to the advanced screening and sometimes he attended. He still supports new owners

This bums me out. I'm 60 now so I was right there at the debut of Soft Cell in 1981 when I was 16/17. Enjoyed their music for years, these 5 still get played on my turntable. All 5 bought at the time of their releases. RIP Dave Ball.

10/10/85: planes launched from the USS Saratoga, incl 2 F-14s from my squadron VF-103 Sluggers, intercepted plane of terrorists responsible for Achille Lauro cruise ship hijacking & murder of US citizen Leon Klinghoffer, as they were flying out of Egypt. Full story link in 1st comment.
