Exactly this. There was a movement “fight for 15” along with a book with that title. That was so long ago $15 is no longer enough and most of the country.

When a full time worker still needs government help, follow the money. We, the taxpayers, are supporting the multibillionaire Walton Family (of Walmart) by subsidizing their workers, we are really just giving them our money. Let them pay a fair wage. No full time worker should need our support.

MAGA is unable to see any bit into the future. Remove all the undocumented, ad suddenly the grocery produce sections will be empty. Our elderly parents will go uncared for.

Are any criminals? Sure but far fewer than a group of typical MAGA. Most just want to work and support their families.

Not to belabor the obvious, ICE doesn’t wanna have anything to do with the Russian mafia. They are really not interested in a fair fight or catching real criminals. pussies!

Respectfully, are you suggesting we should ignore the fact that it was the GOP doing all the firing?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m in favor of making things right but I’ve learned from them that the blame game is real.

As I understand it, the people that would’ve issued the warnings were fired by DOGE.

And Republicans will find a way to blame Obama or Biden for these deaths when the blood is on their hands.

Trump counts on the fact that his voters are less educated than those who don’t vote for him. He said it himself, “I love the uneducated.“

No George. They need JUSTICE.
Abbott et al need to be prosecuted.
This is beyond serious. IMO it’s criminal at the least. Derilition, malfeasance, conspiracy, manslaughter.
Nuke em.
Can you imagine how they’d be acting if it was a Democrat who is responsible?

Is it OK if I have sympathy for those that have lost loved ones and incredible anger at the politicians that let this happen? There are some acts of God that we can’t do anything about, but they literally fired the people who will alert us to these events.

Yes, you are 100% correct. But when we try to identify the source of the problem, they attack us.
This reminds me of that time a pandemic hit, and the prior administration had a well thought out playbook for such an event, but the administration in place at the time decided to trash it.

Thanks. Good riddance to you.

My last thought on this thread. They voted for somebody who is directly responsible for defunding USAID. Many many people will die because we are not helping them anymore. Those are the people that I feel sorry for because they didn’t vote for this administration. Do you care about them?
July 6, 2025 at 6:36 PM
Sorry. But to me words matter and I try to choose them carefully. I did not say nor do I feel that they deserve to suffer.

But let’s be clear, when a group of people insult me for literally wanting the best for them, wanting to see the poor among them, wanting to house the homeless…. Out of effs.
July 6, 2025 at 6:30 PM
And the ongoing question - what will it take before his voters realize that people are dying from his policies?

Will he manage to keep blaming Obama and Biden? And they’ll believe him?

At those 2 numbers, the $6000 starts to phase out. At $175000 single, $250,000 couple, no extra deduction.

As a quick example, a couple with an adjusted gross income of exactly $200,000, both 65 or older, would get a total $6000 as a deduction versus the $12,000 they’d get at $150,000.
