Old fashioneds are better with rye, anyway. Substandard quips are my own, and otherwise yelled from a bicycle. Слава Україні!
Did you ever go to the Lower Sackville Sobeys at 345 AM?

Having done that, I will never pine for a 24 hr grocery store ever again. The term "liminal" is a very good term for the experience.

And then they implemented Copilot, and all of a sudden, my company is: "AI good, please use in all aspects of your business, but just Copilot because it's the only trustworthy AI on the market!"

When my job integrated MS's Copilot into my MS 365 software, I didn't even realize it had been enabled until I was receiving synopsis of meetings I'd missed.

Whats hilarious was up until the implementation, my company was "Gen-AI is untested and bad, don't use it for anything"

So incredibly true. I experienced this just a couple of days ago.

As I waited at a painted, beaconed, well lit crosswalk, it wasn't until *I stepped into the road* that traffic began to stop.

Until that point, I waited on the curb like a good boy, as cars flew by without stopping.

For many years, I had the A-Team theme song as my ringtone.

It's okay, the people in Hammonds Plains who complain about the smell just throw compost in the garbage anyway

Yeah I get you. The roundabout would likely allow more free flow and alleviate the main issue, which is traffic backing up onto Wyse and Alderney.

I'd be more concerned about drivers avoiding roundabout entirely, pushing drivers into the relatively lower volume residential areas around it.

I often thought that a roundabout would work especially well there. Traffic is always backed up onto Wyse inbound to Alderney/Windmill on the busy times. The only downside is that it would have to be a relatively high volume roundabout so the city would probably use the high speed design.

Even more of a reason for me to dislike the guy

But they can say "Merry Christmas" again!

I'm sorry that sounds like the opening for a bad joke:

What do a pizza place, a pub and a feed store all have in common?

Gluten.... Free?

What language is that?

*public & private interests, dammit
November 17, 2025 at 8:58 PM
What's it like living in a country whose public & interests come together actively push against moves made by the government that are not in the public interest?

In Canada, short of maybe one or two days of the year, we'd have a national holiday pulled away from us and all we would do is shrug.

Nah, but he's gotta sell the budget to guys like Ford and Houston who may just buy in just to undercut Polievre's authority and better their chances of getting the federal leadership.

I wonder, if you push your finger in it, the phone gets a wierd feeling in it gut too?
