I spoke with the archbishop of the Syriac Orthodox Church in Aleppo about reports of looting and the cancelling of mass. He confirmed there's been looting at two churches but mass has continued and they've still been allowed to prepare for Christmas.

Over nearly 14 years of civil war, Aleppo’s Christian population has fallen from 300,000 to just 25,000. In 2013, two of the city’s archbishops were kidnapped; their whereabouts remain unknown. w/ @mohamadelchamaa.bsky.social
