The thing about bikes, is that somewhere beyond the mechanical aspects of the machine lies the art. It's one thing to engineer something that functions reliably and with precision, it's another to make it beautiful as well.

Electronic shifting is not "horrible". Neither is friction down tube shifting. Carbon bikes are fun and so are metal bikes. Rim brakes are rad and disc brakes are nice. Sometimes lycra is good. Sometimes jeans work just fine. 1x is cool, so is 2x and 3x.
