Like a lot of us, I started using social media nearly from the time it came into being. In that time, one of my biggest lessons was that my opinions are not as important as my relationships with the people I meet here. The encouragement, kindness & sometimes sympathy in tragic moments matter most.

Every day I go out to the front yard and look at the sky and mountains and say a prayer thanking God for all of our blessings and opportunities to do good in the world in the time we are here. Its become part of my morning happiness ritual.
I try to focus more on gratitude than on fear.

Being kind starts within.
Life is not easy for any of us. It's just not.
Probably not supposed to be either.
We were born perfect and loved, and lovable.
We don't have to live up to anyone's expectations.
If we made mistakes, guess what, we're human.
You're still pretty darn awesome. I love us!

Being kind starts within.

Sadly, millions of Americans, mostly now older Americans, have been subjected to propaganda encouraging them to fight to defend a system that exploits them and has destroyed the bottom 80% of the country.

I was raised in a middle-class home by an army veteran dad and an immigrant mom who gave all they had to give us a good home. Until the mid 70s, only dad had an income, yet could afford to buy a home & raise 4 of us kids, take Summer vacations each year & send us all to state colleges.
