The intro to Mr. Crowley was a highlight. Sounded great live, too.
Didn’t Don play on Michael Schenker’s first solo album?
He’s had quite a career!

These tracks, and the album as a whole, are outstanding. The most underrated live album ever, it should have been promoted with more enthusiasm.

Always thought it was great to record a version with Ian on vocals.

The Ritz was a great little venue to see a major act up close with your elbows leaning on the stage

There’s definitely a connection. I’m a huge Deep Purple fan, and I was also in the audience the first night of recording that album.

“Can’t Happen Here.” I’d say “Jealous Lover” but it wasn’t on the album, I think it was the B-side of one the singles.

“Hellbound” from The Tygers of Pan Tang’s second album, Spellbound. Great track and an under appreciated band.

Josh took the high road. On the dropped 2 point try: “It’s cold, the ball gets slick.”
On his teammates: “… We play for each other.”

Obviously in hindsight Purple was a bargain but none of them made a lot. 125 Quid in 1969 is worth about £2,639 today.
And how about Christine McVie’s original band, Chicken Shack, making the list!

Buscemi would come in second if Alec Guiness was still alive.

Not just the slapping but your finger picking and left hand hammer-on technique, all outstanding.

“Everything’s Alright” from that show is a favorite of mine, also like the vocals she added to Clapton’s 461 Ocean Boulevard album.

Mine was Deep Purple with Yes.

Slightly off-topic: the word “his” should have quotation marks on either side. He or his followers believing it does not make it true.

I think 2 wins would equal the lowest total in franchise history also, did I get that right?

Set the standard for every live album that came after. The idea of using the best performance of each song from different tour dates was a stroke of genius.

Is that the actual “rolling truck stones thing just outside “? What a great piece of music history.

Top three:
3. Buying “Perfect Strangers” the day it was released.
2. Hearing “Lazy” on “Deep Purple in Concert” and realizing there was a whole world of bass playing that my teacher hadn’t shown me.
1. Finally seeing the band on the “=1” US tour and standing right in front of Roger.

So the team has lost offensive and defensive captains in a week. Wow. I assume the players elect new captains, right?
