Art today is more in the idea.

Think "MTV Unplugged". People get miffed when the idea creator turns out to just be a hack. People are Ok with Picasso because his switch to ideas had gravitas.

That is what I think people complain about. Fwiw

Can you expand? I think I'm like 50% there but.... a little too abstract...

In related news, we are going to bring the N-word back. There is nothing wrong with the word per say and it just got imbued with all that nasty racism stuff.

Grow up Julian. Eugenics is not gene editing, which might fix some things. Look up the definition before you blather your thoughts

Fear of being the scapegoat is not necessarily motivated by having scapegoated someone. That last sentence lightly implies a causal link, as if we can clean up the world by excluding 'them' from life - which (drumroll please) - IS scapegoating.

Two things:

- Sweden went back to pen/paper, computers pulled from schools (AI was not a factor, dropping scores worldwide was)

- the anti-education Trumpers are accidentally factionalizing edu views, which will push defending 'our education system is good' WITH computers - to our detriment.

There was a previous attempt.

Sounds like you already do not login frequently. I stopped years ago. They won't delete your account even if you ask/fill out form.

It IS in the news. I think you are saying it should have higher priority?!

If the Titanic had a couple of Safe Spaces on board ~100 years ago, those rooms would have still filled up with water.

This is my lightly demented way of stating that one must stay in reality even when things get bad.

Twitter got worse, Bluesky's an echo chamber.

Not sure of the solution.

I think you're confusing some type of "totalizing" results from things that are very disjointed. This is drama queen quality tweeting. 😁

Irrelevant is a strong word. Are you sure you want to go that far? Many forecast this after 2008/9 crash - that with financial troubles people would start looking for scapegoats and immigration was high on the list - and now a reality.

What is the most relevant motivation in your eyes?

These folks didn't magically become angry. It is becoming increasingly difficult to financially survive and lead a small simple life. We can judge their 'reactions' as poor, (humans love scapegoating). What is causing all the financial problems? Do you feel this other thing is the core of the issue?

I worked close to the camp so saw it a lot... Though I wanted action, the group did not give me hope. It was overtly idealistic and cult-ish (non-verbal hand signals?!?) Seemed like 'belonging' as a drug, internally working for some - but externally doing nothing to change the world. 🤷🏼‍♂️
November 17, 2025 at 9:17 PM
Confused. You were at the NYC occupy camp?!

"America First" IS isolationist. Yes. When past presidents used it, it was in favor of isolation, and non intervention.

I still love the fact that mechanical typewriter stores morphed into computer stores. Here in Philadelphia it was Bundy, but this happened all over so...

Nice. Thank you Onion.

This is more an ad for the documentary and less about everything else... To think the issue is a 'gene' and to mention 'micropenis'... Uhg. So stupid.

AI - helping with the political cartoon. Only took 3 revisions.

I'm dizzy after reading the first piece. It's like abstraction hell.

Visual: The enemy is racing towards the front line and two soldiers are having an intelligent in depth conversation about which weapon would be more effective to defend their position.

Parties die.
Something new has to form.
