That's fast! I read it for a bookclub and we were all very enthousiastic. Great characters and I remember lots of scenes vividly. I am pretty sure I know who you think feels very Virginia Woolf 😉

A Luminous Republic by Andrés Barba. Really stuck with me. Can't recommend it enough!

The Dwarves is a little too straight forward. One dimensional characters. I don't really like that anymore.

LOTR is the first book I read in English (took me a while😅), it's amazing. I read The Wheel of Time series, and I still consider it one of the best things I have ever read. I cried with that last book. But those are for me the best ones. I read The Dwarves by Heitz, and that's more what I mean.

Just read the summary of Cage of souls, sounds really good! Gonna put it on my to read list;) I think I like sci-fi more than fantasy these days honestly. It's hard to describe but fantasy feels more black and white and sci-fi has more grey. Am I making sense? 😅

Curious about this one as well. I absolutely love The Children of Time series, like I really loved it. But I read City of Last Chances after and it was a little disappointing if I am honest. So now I am scared I read his best stuff already....

I can't deny that😅

I was actually angry after reading it. On the sleeve in Belgium it said "Think Kill Bill meets John Le Carré".
An absolute ridiculous summary. No character development, so much useless side info and a weird ending. I am starting to get mad again 😅😂 Really didnt like it.

That's a wonderful gesture. I just checked, I can buy it here in Belgium and it should take 4 to 5 weeks to arrive. I'm gonna do that. Merry Christmas!
