Amazing stuff from my union!
The union representing faculty, graduate assistants, and many staff titles at CUNY, voted 73-70 in favor of a resolution for the union to divest from Israeli companies and government bonds.
CUNY Union Votes to Divest From Israel, Sets Example for Broader Labor Movement
It was a difficult move following the passage of a resolution to reduce the union’s ability to take political stands.

Still feels a bit surreal but I've accepted an offer from CUNY and will start a PhD in Geography at the Graduate Center this fall! I'll be researching the climate impacts of housing movements. I'm excited to be in New York for the next few years!
