Urghhhhhhh they were so bad

While it isn't the most underwhelming set of the year (Spidey, obvs), I'll die on the hill that Final Fantasy is the worst set in years with the long-term damage it is going to do to the game.

They're then followed by a sequel that is very ambitious, and are widely considered the best in their series, but are also kind of bloated with their reliance on instanced missions and setpieces over the way their predecessors more naturally weaved encounters into the world.
