agree on obligation-based business reading. I try to mix non-fiction books into my reading at like a 2:1 ratio, and I read a fiction and non-fiction book at the same time to cater to moods. thanks to @floord.bsky.social I now have a couple more books in my already too-long goodreads 'to read' list

Many services don't need to be reachable externally, and I use @tailscale.com to reach those, which is the single most awesome addition to my home lab. Been running it for a year, and it's been rock solid.

In that case... I have this thing https://www.amazon.nl/dp/B00ORENYJE for some migration work and it works. Plug into raspberry pi or whatever you have laying around, instant storage.

So... It depends? On whether you just need storage (and how resilient it must be) or also need to run apps / containers / vms
