I am a wanderer with no real business here. But I cannot just lurk and read posts from others, so I will shortly begin talking to myself in rather short blurts. There will be typos.
We already have a huge number of drug shortages all the time, enough that even in hospitals pharmacies amend dosing to preserve vials.

NYT games spoiler for Connections 1/29 in first comment.
Why do I not much like Connections? Leaving aside the silly stuff of made-up connections, sometimes the "connection" doesn't work right.

Maybe by prohibiting federal agencies from releasing info to the public Trump's intent is to "cure" bird flu and drop the price of eggs. Just because they're first & foremost malevolent doesn't mean they're not stupid.

Who could imagine a guy whose family grew rich in apartheid South Africa would be a Nazi sympathizer and think a Sieg Heil would be cool. With apologies to anyone who grew up in apartheid SA and became a decent person

Reading a piece of fiction published in 2021, where a revelation comes from a viral video -everyone believes it. Thinking video sharing emerged early 2000s. Thinking with current and emerging tech videos are losing their default credibility. Is that plot device dying in fiction and reality?

Citizens of Canada and Greenland should be terrified, no matter how wild the thought, that they might have to trade their healthcare for the predatory system the US has.

On a tiktok Cory Doctrow attributes this to "Without", asserting it describes Musk's view:

Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.

If you point out grammatical errors, fine. I want to sometimes too. If you describe yourself as a "grammar Nazi" here is a rule to remember:
More important than any point of grammar ever, never be any kind of Nazi, ever.

Presumably an insured party has access to their full policy. If Optum's SOPs adhere to policy terms why do the SOPs need to be hidden away? Claim evaluation should be wholly transparent unless there is something to hide. Oh.

Bet. The shooter knows someone who died due to United Healthcare denying life saving care to them. Watch 👀
