Michael Jackson during a disastrous call by our performer Kathy Griggs, to the French Market stage at Disneyland, which resulted in his brother throwing a fit and getting Michael dragged backstage to hide in Griggs' dressing room until he could be escorted away. Thereafter, he wore a disguise at DL.
Michael didn't seem to like the fact that he was forced to leave the park that day, and after this, Michael always wore an old man disguise to Disneyland and was often pushed around in a wheelchair, or walked on his own appearing as a spry, older white man, but cast members at the French Market would recognize him by the bracelet he always wore. When I stopped to nod hello to him during his many later visits to the restaurant, he always greeted me with a knowing wink and nod as one of the cast members who helped hustle him out of the crowd that day. I still want to meet his makeup artist, because they were a miracle worker.
