This year's race features 29 sections of 'ribinou' and will see the riders tackle just over 200km of racing, meaning it will become a very attritional race. Importantly, the riders will get a couple of looks at the finish line before the actual race finish.

The founder of Tro Bro Leon, Jean-Paul Mellouët, has never had the same route twice in a row since 1984, opting to change things around each year, even if only slightly. An interesting approach to course designing, which bucks the trend in some sense.

12 months ago, it was Arnaud De Lie who was victorious, winning from the sprint from a group of 8. Clément Venturini and Pierre Gautherat rounded out the day's podium. De Lie had created the group by attacking on the ribin de la ferme in the final 10 kilometres.
