Annual military budget was 800B and Biden increased it by 25%. Bush and Obama wars also were expensive. Trump reduced wars.
November 24, 2024 at 12:02 AM
Such as? Since Obama, democrats have massively increased military spending. Cheney republicans too.

Maga wants less military. And Bernie Sanders and Cenk want less military. And RFK and Tulsi want less military

What you said is a great example. It’s completely closed off from criticism. In religion, it’s called fundamentalism. It’s marked with fundamental truths and authoritative sources.
November 23, 2024 at 12:58 PM
There is an absolute truth, we don’t have access to the absolute truth. We have a model of the truth that is an estimate. Correction gets us closer to the truth.

He went from the biggest threat to a bad guy with nukes but not an immediate threat.
November 23, 2024 at 2:17 AM
Karl Popper was a big proponent of liberalism and critical rationalism that informed liberals until they shifted to critical theory and trust of experts.

Challenging experts, debating criticism, and replacing leaders provides a means of error correction.

Yes. Kim got nothing and the world got the end of nuclear threats from Kim. For free.
November 23, 2024 at 2:09 AM
It worked. Trump first engaged him in public on twitter without meeting. Mild insults to begin and then flattery when Kim did something Trump wanted. It should be studied and taught.

I don’t know what that means, but in general, I’m in favor of stopping threats of nuclear attacks.
November 23, 2024 at 12:57 AM
Wow. That’s embarrassing that Ukraine with financing and weapons from the west is getting totally pummeled with massive soldier deaths by a country with bad equipment.
November 23, 2024 at 12:54 AM
Error correction. All things need error correction to improve. School choice allows error correction.

Maybe the worst system in the world is fundamentalist religion. You cannot question it and you must accept its authority. Public schools have become that system.
November 23, 2024 at 12:49 AM
Um. Fixing a nuclear threat is good. Not negotiating didn’t work. That’s the Biden strategy in Russia. They just dropped an ICBM in Ukraine. How many dead Ukrainians is enough?
November 23, 2024 at 12:43 AM
That is correct. That’s my face passed through an AI beauty filter and my weak cut and paste skills for the hat and beard.
November 22, 2024 at 9:40 PM
How do you plan to cut defense? You’re adding 25% to our budget because someone is not our friend.
November 22, 2024 at 9:38 PM
For example, DNC canceled Tulsi who questioned the Cheney policy in Syria and Kennedy who challenged big pharma and big ag in favor of consumers and children. Neither could fairly participate in a primary. I voted for Bernie in 2016. I voted for Obama. I’m not who you think.
November 22, 2024 at 9:36 PM
I was talking about Karl Popper who kind of invented liberal tolerant open society and opposed Marxism. And there’s been a hard shift away from liberalism toward Marxism. Liberalism welcomes debate and criticism. Marxism leads to totalitarianism. It’s a fundamentalist ideology.
November 22, 2024 at 9:13 PM
Why are we involved at all?
November 22, 2024 at 9:08 PM
Karl Popper was the champion of a liberal tolerant society. The key element is preserving the means of error correction: criticism and questioning authority. The left is no longer liberal, does not respect critical thinking, and demonizes questioning authority.
November 22, 2024 at 9:01 PM
My take is labels on people replaces thinking.
November 22, 2024 at 8:55 PM
I was talking about democrats treatment of other democrats. For example if a democrat likes school choice. Or a democrat thinks there should be a limit on abortion after a fetus can feel pain.
November 22, 2024 at 8:52 PM
Appeasement refers to the policy of making concessions to an aggressor in hopes of avoiding conflict or achieving peace.

What if we made no concessions and didn’t pay $200B?
November 22, 2024 at 8:25 PM
I’d love to end the endless wars
I’d also love to have school choice.
November 22, 2024 at 8:20 PM
Obama said the biggest threat was North Korea. It was such a big threat that he refused to negotiate. Trump fixed it with a few mean tweets. Putin also stopped invading during 45. Isis was also defeated. And many countries in Middle East signed peace treaties. And no new wars.
November 22, 2024 at 8:07 PM
Agreed on the $200B for Ukraine just to get people killed and lose the war.
