I got into pumpkin cooking in last couple years only because I was gifted a good knife (also realized the relative ease w which some of the trad pumpkins can be cut). So that's the hardest thing, but after that just roasting with oil, salt and pepper (maybe honey or syrup) works. IF fresh/good!

Sometimes (esp at this time of year) the pumpkin is just no good. Not sure why pressure cooker would be involved but I would just roast

Over the years I've found the payoff for reading mystical &theological texts in their original is v low. So a mixture of instinct &internet is good for finding commentaries (it might even b a good use for AI searches in the same way Internet Archive quietly revolutionized access to alchemical texts)

Master Eckhart, most likely. Especially his preference for Martha over Mary. While well in advance of Protestant Reformation, it sets the stage for its hatred of idolatry, as if to point out that this is not the appropriate way to worship the divine

This is the studium/punctum. Thing is, for this symbolic era of art there is a LOT of studium, much of which is lost. The supposed punctum usually leads one back to scriptural paradox
