I got into pumpkin cooking in last couple years only because I was gifted a good knife (also realized the relative ease w which some of the trad pumpkins can be cut). So that's the hardest thing, but after that just roasting with oil, salt and pepper (maybe honey or syrup) works. IF fresh/good!

Sometimes (esp at this time of year) the pumpkin is just no good. Not sure why pressure cooker would be involved but I would just roast

So a mixture of instinct &internet is good for finding commentaries (it might even b a good use for AI searches in the same way Internet Archive quietly revolutionized access to alchemical texts)
