Trying to do the math and figure out if we can end up with an absolutely sick Three Way Finals Match of Okada vs Fletcher vs Takeshita in the #AEWContinentalClassic @aewontv.bsky.social

Honestly, due to the card - and the number of retread matches - I probably wouldn’t have ordered #AEWFullGear on PPV.
But, since I live 20 mins from Prudential Center, I went to it live.
Had awesome seats and a real blast at the show. The AEW communal experience cannot be overrated.

#TrainDreams is a gorgeous, meditative, melancholy vibe in under two hours.
It sort of sneaks up behind you before clobbering you over the head with an emotional sledgehammer.

With #TheRunningMan @edgarwright.bsky.social managed to create an action / sci-fi throwback that’s a fun diversion for 2 hours.
#GlenPowell continues to successfully run the “How To Become A Movie Star” playbook, but the box office receipts will tell us how close he currently is to that goal.

#PredatorBadlands is so damn much fun! @dantrachtenberg.bsky.social infused enough #StarWars and #GuardiansOfTheGalaxy DNA into the usual Predator and Alien franchise ingredients to make something that really stands out.
Hoping for a box office hit, so we get the chance to see whatever comes next!

Guillermo del Toro’s #Frankenstein has immediately become my favorite adaptation of the book.
It’s the most loyal to the original text but, at the same time, del Toro discovers some new ground that feels completely, thematically of a piece with the original #MaryShelley work.

#TronAres may have a Sci-Fi plot that’s way more Fi than Sci, but it’s a pretty simple and straight-forward story.
The movie looks and sounds great, and is absolute worth experiencing in a theater.

My local library just put out a Local Authors section, and my books are now in it!
It’s a little thing, but it gives me a pretty big thrill to think about it. Thanks, #NutleyPublicLibrary #Libraries #BookSky #WritingCommunity

Halfway thru #Weapons a character is introduced like a clown (literally & figuratively) which didn’t really work for me.
But the rest of the movie establishes them as exactly what they need to be & that did work for me.
That’s my general sentiment.
Landing On: Weapons is a really good horror movie.

#FantasticFourFirstSteps is the best standalone #MCU movie since the first Iron Man.
Light-years better than any other F4 movie, and absolutely upper-tier overall MCU.
It feels like the MCU is truly back after this and Thunderbolts*.

Every match hit the mark at #AEWAllIn Texas which is incredible considering the expectations for some of them.
The main event was perfectly booked to start hot and stay hot after a ton of great wrestling earlier.
Every run-in worked, and the tap out (first ever for Mox) was a chef’s kiss!

This is, start-to-finish, the best #Superman movie ever.
@jamesgunn.bsky.social and everyone else involved knew exactly who the character needed to be, what this new #DCU needed to be, and absolutely delivered the goods.
I cannot wait to see Supergirl and everything that comes after.

I really enjoyed #Ironheart and I feel like watching it in a binge instead of weekly had a lot to do with that.
As I reconsider other MCU and #StarWars Disney+ shows that underwhelmed me, I can’t help but think I’d have liked them better in a binge as well.

I wonder if #Suspiria gets enough credit as a sort of grandfather of modern, prestige, boutique horror films.
The movie looks incredible with its use of lighting, set design, & shot composition.
That, combined with the creepy-as-hell Goblin soundtrack, is almost guaranteed to give you weird dreams.

Took the kids to see #Pixar #Elio - It was a sweet movie, and they really enjoyed it.

It’s one of the greatest disappointments in cinematic history that this f’n guy didin’t get eaten in Jaws. #Jaws50

Showed the kiddos (9 & 6) #PeeWeesBigAdventure and they loved it. 40 years after the first time I saw it, and probably 20 years since the last time, it still really holds up for me as well. #PeeWeeHerman

#Sirens on #Netflix was a lot funnier than I expected, but it also managed to hit some deep trauma drama along the way.
There were even some @buffalo-bills.bsky.social call-outs sprinkled in there - which I appreciated.

I feel like Wedge Antilles should get more love from mainstream #StarWars fans.
The guy joined the rebellion before #LukeSkywalker and survived two #DeathStar runs without even having any #Jedi powers.
Dude was a pimp. Maybe he can get a Disney+show run by Tony Gilroy a la #Andor ?

Moreso than any other #MCU movie to-date, #Thunderbolts feels very character-centric and actor-centric.
Everyone gets their moments to shine, but Florence Pugh, David Harbour and Lewis Pullman form a strong emotional core of the movie.
