I just learned about this poor little macaque named “Punch-kun” in Japan who was abandoned by his mom and bullied by others but carries a stuffed surrogate and is slowly working to be accepted by his troop, and I have an uncomfortable level of empathy and projection with him 😅😂 go get ‘em, Punch-kun

The number of people in the world that I genuinely enjoy interacting with is relatively small. Not sure it surpasses 50. I treasure those few people. You understand why It’s frustrating, then, when I mostly end up dealing with everybody else.

I learned recently that lemons are not naturally occurring. They’re a man made hybrid between a bitter orange and a citron. Life did not, and does not, give us lemons. We are responsible for all the lemons we have ever been forced to make into lemonade. on some level I always knew that.

I didn’t even realize this was Robert Duvall for years, but he played Ned Pepper in the 1969 John Wayne western True Grit, which is the first western I ever watched with my dad. My dad and I always bond over westerns and mob movies and its probably no coincidence that our favorites feature him.
