If you're anywhere near Casper, Wyoming this coming Nov 7th and 8th you might want to check this out:

(Allow me to draw your attention to the "dramatized by" credit below the title The Cold Equations...)

Sure wish I could be there! Alas...

One day it will be possible to use a kitchen implement to remove a substance from another kitchen implement without then having to remove the substance from the first kitchen implement & then having to remove it from the second kitchen implement once again over and over again until the end of time.

Yes, believe it or not it's that time of year already! I will be there! Hope you will too.

Remembering my colleague Gregory J. Sinclair on what would have been his birthday, pictured here second from right in our old CBC Radio Drama studio 212. Like too many others, he left us way too young.

Don't feel bad. I didn't either.

I was sorry to hear about the passing of Canadian actor Graham Greene. Loved him in everything he did, including his classic Northern Exposure appearances, and his cameo in The Last of Us recently, and so much more. He will be missed. My condolences to his family, friends and fans.

June 28th, 1983, Summerside, PEI. Princess Diana.

My Mom took this shot. My high school band had played for her earlier. Prince Charles conducted us briefly.

Diana was just 21 years old here. She'd be 64 now. The world would be a better place with her still in it.

Me and Dad dropping off our books at Sassy Lassie Vintage in PEI. Thanks to Tracy for featuring our work! Dad’s 90 here. He published that book when he was 85. And it’s a good book. 😎

A Time and a Place: A lonely, mild-mannered English teacher from Prince Edward Island gets caught up in a quest by a lonely, thousand-year-old alien to find the ancient evil responsible for killing its people.

Some shots of the book out in the wild, where it belongs:

I can’t believe it. My dog Wendy and I found another abandoned electric scooter. I have so many of these in my garage now! What to do? I guess I’ll sell them on Marketplace.

My wife attended a class on how to be a better parent. Before she went, our daughter asked where she was going.

“I’m going to learn how to be a better mother.”

“But you’re already a perfect mother,” our daughter said.

I thought this was really sweet. Until she added, “Daddy should go!” #daughter

I'll be at tomorrow's Mom Market in Moncton's Centennial Park, selling my own and DSP Inc books. I'll even have a few titles from my famous sister @susanrodgers.bsky.social! Don't tell her though; if she finds out, she'll probably expect some of the profits, knowing her! 🤣

My daughter Erin drew me a heartwarming comic for Father's Day. As you will see, it's a very accurate portrayal of the special relationship I have with my pooch, Wendy.

All the guys in their 40s and 50s trying to tell me that they "feel old." Well, I may be an old dog, having just turned 60. My hair might be grey, & I might not be able to hear as well as I used to, or read small print, or remember peoples' names. But I do NOT feel old!

Finding typos in books published over one hundred years ago makes me feel better about any typos in my own books. I call the feeling "typofreude."
