Oh, I couldn’t agree more. There are still plenty of reasons to reach for a framework: state management, routing, etc.

I’m still pro-React, but I miss Vue. I’ve only heard good things about Nuxt and SvelteKit, but these days I’ve been thinking “how much do we *really* need these frameworks?” There’s some nostalgia for me in relying on the platform and simple abstractions.

I’m as old as AWK.

“You know how developers often feel like rebuilding everything from the ground up instead of dealing with years of other people’s code? This is an example where that feeling is the right one.”

Does the same apply when you declare each transform as its own CSS property instead of mashed together into one transform?

Once you pay off your car loan, they shouldn’t be able to tow your car away for an expired registration. That just makes sense.

Thank you! I didn’t know about `lh`. It’s so much cleaner than the alternative using a custom property and calc.

Composites seem much less restrictive than Records. Both are exciting additions to the language but I really hope there’s a way to combine the two: the simpler syntax of Records with the flexibility of Composites.

I wish they had an option to use the old algorithm, whatever that may have been. For years I would see content that was adjacent to things I like. Now I just see videos on the same handful of topics every day. Meh.

My YouTube feed has become really uninteresting over time. Pretty much all I see is tech, food (because I get my recipes from videos) and space documentaries (my sleep aid). It used to be such a great platform for learning random stuff and consuming short-form entertainment.

I’m not too sure about using “charmosas” when talking about interactions. “cativantes” might be a better fit.
“in this one” will be problematic in some languages because “one” needs to be what the thing is. “neste” (m.) or “nesta” (f.) means “in this”. In this… what?
