My life is dependent upon daily chemotherapy to combat CML — Chronic Myeloid Leukemia; that medication costs THOUSANDS of dollars each month. My treatment is only possible because of my ability to access the Healthcare Marketplace because of the (Affordable Care Act).

In 1874, my Great-grandfather, Abraham Unruh (father of my Gramma Kearney) arrived at Ellis Island, son of Mennonite refugees fleeing the Russian Empire in what is now modern day Ukraine.

This week, I began exploring the journey to become a citizen of Ireland, birthplace of my Grampa Kearney.
