...And that means I should offer my own advice, which would be this: 1. Text or call or message ANYONE to let them know what's happening. 2. Get everything on video, live stream if possible, so it won't disappear with your phone. 3. Call local police yourself. That's all I've got. Awful times.

It's truly tragic how as fascist levers emerge, some folks will lunge to use them. Reminds me of the old saying: absolute power doesn't always corrupt; but it usually reveals.

When this administration is finally over, an infinitude of forensic analyses will churn for years. But I believe the viral turn of the GOP into a depraved sycophancy must be understood. It may demand whole new sections in the DRM. Or compulsory therapy. Or laws. But we can't let it happen again.

GOP primaries have served as radicalizing autoclaves for a while, which has often been the only thing preventing much more pervasive republican success. But it seems to be intensifying. For example, I can't imagine McCain or Romney winning the nomination today.

It's crazy that they will never consider running the candidate we already know would absolutely wipe the floor with whoever the democrats nominate.
But Nikki Haley will never get past the primary, which means our worst nightmare will never materialize.
