We find that individuals move up either because of labor income only, or because of aligned capital and labor income upward movement. But even for individuals whose labor and capital income trajectories both point upwards, labour income jumps dominate at the mean and for about 90% of individuals.

Do you have / plan to have an answer on the points raised by Burgis? To me, it makes a lot of sense what he says, especially in the last part of the piece. But I would be interested in a counter-critique, because it might also just be related to pessimism about how to plan well :)

We have a political economy-type working paper on the issue, in which we analyse how remunicipalisation is used to fight monopoly power in the Catalan water sector. We also document the spread of innovative new forms of cooperation and citizen involvement.

Really frustrating to see these guys shooting themselves in their left foot, noticing they struggle to walk, and "therefore" shooting themselves also in the right foot, with predictable effects. What can research and public do to prevent this shitshow?

What is your degrowth definition, and why are you not using the one by proponents of degrowth, if you are clearly referring to them? And where do you find them asking to return to cages?

Bin nicht sicher, ob ich das ganz verstehe: geht ihr davon aus, dass Zahlungsbilanzen kausal teils von der Leistungsbilanz- und teils von der Kapitalbilanz her getrieben sind, in den USA vor allem letzteres wegen des US$? Oder grundsätzlich (nur) von der Kapitalbilanz?
