I’ll never be able to understand people who can follow sports regularly. Sitting here watching the Tigers, game 5,and I don’t even really care that much and yet, I’m so stressed out right now I feel sick. How is this fun? I haven’t felt this tense since election night

While grocery shopping today I heard what had been my favorite song in 3rd grade. I haven’t heard it in 30+ years but still knew all the words. Overwhelmed with nostalgia & melancholy but also a weird kind of joy. Came home & added it to my iPod like a true gen x’r. This needs to happen a lot more.

November 19th in southeast Michigan ~ overcast,cold, drizzly rain, smells like snow, and the ice cream man just drove down my street, music full blast, multicolored lights flashing, a flock of children running down the sidewalk after him.
Wish I knew where to get that kind of optimism 🍦

Trying to think of something clever and witty to put in the description section fills me with the same anxiety as being in a new group and they announce, “ok, let’s go around the circle and have everyone share something interesting about themselves”
