Zeytoon is a new Iranian resto at Parkhill & Water in Ptbo (you know the place… was a burger joint, before that a Greek place, before that a bake shop). Their kebabs are delicious and inexpensive - highly recommended.

Coun. Joy Lachica, Coun. Alex Bierk and Coun. Keith Riel did come outside while organizer Danielle Wyatt Turpin was speaking. Coun. Riel later said they were wearing black because a death has occurred: "That death is democracy - and it's happening right here," he said, meaning city hall.

Charmaine Magumbe reminded the crowd how a rally took place a few weeks ago to point out their concerns about the mayor having uttered a racial slur in a guest lecture at Trent University.

There were lots of signs about council's response to the integrity commissioner's report. There were 65 people at the rally around 5:20 p.m., and probably around 20 more joined in the next few minutes.
