Scene. It’s 1962. American farmers have cracked the code.

We can raise chickens cheap. Like, really cheap. Industrial-scale factory farms, efficient as hell. We start shipping frozen chickens to Europe by the boatload. German housewives love it. French families love it. Half the price, and tastier!

How do we achieve justice?

We clarify our purpose. We incentivize progress on both sides. We build consensus to move toward the goal, even if we must sacrifice the method.

We won’t all agree on the path. But we can agree on the destination.

system, but because millions no longer trusted it.

Our Republic is fragile. It requires trust. And trust demands proof.

This week, I ask a hard question:

“To the best of my Ability.”

That’s the last clause in the presidential oath. Not a measure of excellence, just a mirror.

It reflects the character of the person taking it.

The Constitution doesn’t define “ability.” It trusts the people will elect someone worthy.

What happens when they don’t?

Tariffs are taxes.

They don’t improve the product. They don’t pay for public goods. They just raise prices — and funnel the surplus to protected firms.

If that’s not theft, it’s something close.

Smoot-Hawley didn’t cause the Great Depression. It just made sure everyone drowned together.
Are Tariffs a Government Theft of your Property?
Tariffs will certainly raise prices at home.

Russia didn't just invade Ukraine with tanks. They invaded with Kautilya’s playbook: Persuade. Induce. Divide. Strike.

From Nevsky on the ice to Ivan at the Ugra, power wasn’t won by strength. It was won by patience and fractures.

Are we even playing the right game?

America owes allegiance to no king. Executive orders are fleeting.

The long-term success of American industry does not rest on executive orders or short-term tariff hikes. Just like in 1816, it rests with Congress.
