A5: I will always love Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. I’m not sure if it qualifies as a small park but definitely is remote and not one of the “big names” that always come to mind. #ParkChat

I live less than an hour from there so I get to make it out for a hike pretty often.

A4: Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico has some great trails and sights that probably aren’t the most popular. It’s pretty rural and off-the-beaten-path so I’m not sure how many of these trails are well known. #ParkChat

A3: As a Yooper, I will always say that Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is deserving of more attention than it gets. Absolutely stunning and offers hikes, kayak tours, and views galore! #ParkChat

Teddy Roosevelt National Park is definitely a hidden gem!

I love both of these parks! South Dakota has a lot of hidden gems.

A1: Honestly, some of my favorite places to eat have been in/around natural land areas and/or parks. Wall Drug, South Dakota has a couple of hole in the walls that are great. Saguache, CO had a coffee shop with a waffle bar on Sundays that I liked to frequent. #ParkChat
