We find that market power measures have slightly increased, and the UK’s economic dynamism has declined. The evidence suggests that technological changes appear to be benefitting larger firms and reshaping market dynamics.

The report analyses how and why competition has changed across the UK economy over the past two decades. It has been cited in the government's industrial strategy green and white papers, by parliamentary select committees and in the media.
