I can throughly recommend this book! I plowed through the blog entries as if they were an ebook, and it was a very enjoyable experience. (I imagine I learned a bit of history, too.) Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't permit me to leave reviews. I have not spent any money on their platform in years. =/

Things can still work without a jury. Many many countries have systems without jury trials, and function just fine. But just one judge, in a country with politically appointed justices? Nah uh.

I believe sourdough just happens, if you leave flour in some water for a few days in an open container. I don't know if that process goes faster in SF than elsewhere! Interesting thought.

How about international regulation that a human has to make the call on every kill? This may be a difficult time to talk about abstaining from defense technology development, but we have treaties for nuclear weapon proliferation, and this risks being just as dangerous.
