Thank you for making our election data easy analyze! The changes the legislature has done to allocate absentee votes to precinct and then provisionals has been fantastic

I think it would be legal the way Newsom is proposing though. If you get 2/3 of the CA legislature to pass an emergency ballot measure and have the voters approve it, it would work in time for 2026. Getting the voters to approve is hard, but a message of “Don’t let Texas Republican cheat” could work

He failed in the most important duty, to prevent Trump from being elected. Sorry but being progressive means nothing if it just leads to a far right authoritarian who destroys that process, our relationship with allies and the world, and the government.

There’s a chance if some of these ridings haven’t counted the early vote yet, that could swing things. It would take some luck for sure though

What about national security/veteran type candidates? They seem like a pretty good alternative for non-elected candidates

I think people are also underestimating Dems’ chances of winning the senate in 2026. Right now it would be tough, but a recession caused by tariffs could put Iowa, Alaska, Florida, Ohio, and Texas in play.

The master plan is for Rebecca Cooke to win in 2026 and then run and win the senate seat in 2028

Too bad they didn’t redistrict to give Dems any congressional districts at all
