Got in a good hike with Raven at San Lorenzo Canyon and Ojo Amado wash in Quebradas. Only about 6 mi total, but with lots of clambering over large boulders. Saw a raven's nest about 3 ft wide, cool geology, and archaeological sites.

Having lived most of my life near these volcanoes, I often take them for granted. I thought about that yesterday as I stood atop one, and appreciated that there weren't many people the world over who were also standing atop a volcano a that moment.

Went for a quick hike at the volcanoes yesterday. On the horizon is a stratovolcano (Mt. Taylor), viewed from a regular volcano—not many places in the world where that's possible.

Hiked a little over 6 miles yesterday in great company. Petroglyph panels, interesting geology, and scattered bits archaeology made for a good hike—even spotted a few gastroliths! Hiking is one of my go-tos for self-care.
