As near as I can tell, yes. It’s entirely fictitious

It just makes me think of my constant frustration lately with comics, and publishing as a whole, and “journalism”/media as a whole: it’s increasingly difficult to know what is even accurate, and actual queer creators making queer stories are struggling

In fact, the relative lack of overt queerness in Dispatch is one of the notable aspects that I find a bit of a letdown with the game, especially with the creatives involved in it

Meanwhile, actual LGBTQ+ inclusive superhero books can often be largely ignored by the media unless they’re appearing in a Marvel/DC book (and often they aren’t written about with the same level of positivity as this fake article)

You play a dispatcher, who dispatches several heroes, but you never actively play as them
In other words, this whole article appears to be wholly fabricated. In fact, I would have to suspect in this day and age, it’s probably written by AI, which is known for getting facts woefully wrong/distorted

The article goes into discussing a ‘non-binary hero with telepathic powers’ but there are no telepaths in the game at all. It also discusses how the game allows players to play as several heroes, including these phantom queer heroes, but that isn’t the structure of the gameplay at all

- that [minor spoilers] a main character makes passing mention of a same sex partner
In fact the game has only two romance options, both of which are cis women, and the lead character the player plays is a cis hetero (as near as we can tell) male. Queerness has played little role in the game at all

lol it’s on my list of things to do today. I have had breakfast, had a wank, and am watching some anime. I wanna get some writing done, make some posts on marketing materials on Canva, some laundry and then watch Oscar Isaac Gets Naked and Makes a Monster

Seems it’s my latest fave thing. I think because I can’t make sense of this world I live in anymore, so the idea of waking up one day in a wholly new world that functions in ways I totally understand is very appealing lol
