That's because of personal threats Trump has made before (and I am sure he was reminded of this week or at least very recently). In my mind, this disqualifies him to serve as the minority leader in the Senate.

An additional point: Don't forget corporate taxes. The public commons that has been created for decades from the benefits of progressive corporate taxation offers opportunities for exclusive groups who use proportionally more of society's collective resources to make their profits thus owe more tax.

We socialists have been saying that since the mid-19th C. Neoliberalism is failing. As Michael Harrington once said, "the 20th century was a struggle between Capitalism and Socialism; the 21st century may evolve into a struggle between Socialism and barbarism."
