If I recall most of the cold war spy games stuff, most of them were mid to high ranking officers.
Its not my field but just makes sense, its a lot of resources to get an asset and why spend it on a janitor or junior enlisted that might have info vs an officer who will have more unquestioned access

Decided to add resistance bands to the home gym this week. One item that cracked me up was the chest press bar being rated to 500lbs. One hand being safe over what it will be used is great... on the other 500lbs is enough to be a human slingshot and no idea what you are hooking it to in a house.

I once knew a dude that believed Russia had a million man army hiding in the USA. I made fun of him, pointing out "New Des Moines" popping up with a bunch of dudes driving T-72s might be suspicious. Now I realize the jokes on me, people like him vote bases on the disinfo.
This is what demographic panic looks like. When people are this uninformed, democracy faces serious headwinds.
