it actually feels quite freeing to admit to myself that i was wrong about them and that they’re incompetent.

i still think they were the best choice at the last general election, but seriously: Fucking Hell.

you’re right of course, but their anti-nuclear stance, unworkable tax policies, opposition to things like high speed rail and dissolving the home office (!) would send us down a really stupid path.

i’m glad there is “loud” left-wing voice gaining some support for no reason than it might convince the government/media that we don’t just have to talk about immigration all the time, but if green win any power it would be just as bad for the country as reform, just in a different way.

you call she decided she had to post something when she realised ‘war’ and ‘poor’ rhyme.

i took this screenshot on facebook during the height of the BLM protests. can’t believe we’re at a point now where elected MP’s are saying this shit.

oh yeah 100%. the HMRC figure that there are twice as many on £99k as £101k is most definitely due to people putting more in their pension to be more tax efficient. the idea that it’s linked to a lack of ambition is absurd.

for every £1 you earn between £50k and 100k (assuming you don’t have a student loan), you take home 58p

for every £1 you earn between £100k and £125k, you take home 38p.

if you have young children, you also immediately lose out on 30 hours per week of childcare (worth about £1000 per week)

the problem there is that the treasury is probably missing out on tax income by people choosing to not earn more. (if of course this data is accurate)
October 15, 2025 at 9:55 AM
uhh are you trying to hide the other presenter?

12 albums in 19 years is insane. i’m not an artist so i might be way off on this, but i feel like if she slowed down the quality would improve.

deftones just released their 10th album and it’s extraordinary. that’s been over a career of 30 years though.

coffee is grown by farmers, hand picked, dried and shipped halfway across the world where it’s roasted, brewed and prepared to your liking by a barista.

for everyone involved to be paid fairly, it’s expensive. for low paid farmers to be exploited and nestle to make profit, then choose instant.
