To the vapour and the dusk
Where does contempt and disdain get us?
February 15, 2025 at 9:34 AM
I wonder if they aren't symptoms.

I don't get it. He just doesn't seem to trust substitutes at all. It's costing us too.
January 14, 2025 at 9:19 PM
10 minutes to go before he makes an attacking change - again. It's a real problem.
January 14, 2025 at 9:15 PM
Ironically, this is largely unscientific.
January 13, 2025 at 7:53 AM
It's a really interesting one. What purpose does it serve?

More interesting still, do these fires, and all the disasters in the years before move the dial for deniers that would make that 'I told you so' meaningful.

If there are those who are newly contrite - is an 'I told you so' helpful?

Beautiful. Tragic.
January 5, 2025 at 10:54 AM
Amazing. Congrats. What rating were you a year ago?
January 1, 2025 at 11:42 PM
The reality is somewhere in the middle I reckon.

I didn't see the Fulham or Everton games as it happens. I hope it's not the case.

Maybe it's just a patch though - it was a soft pen today and then Palmer hitting the woodwork and Felix marginally offside.

All fine margins.
December 30, 2024 at 9:42 PM
Yeah - they're all having shockers out there.
December 30, 2024 at 9:22 PM
I think it's just some god awful performances to be honest.

Caicedo, Nkunku, Enzo et al can't find a pass and it's killing us.

I would like to have seen some earlier changes to be honest.
December 30, 2024 at 9:20 PM
Oh.
December 4, 2024 at 10:03 PM
Useless campaign(s), useless and uninspiring, clueless leaders - out of touch with people, drumming the same old neoliberal-trickle-down-hollow policy.

Crooked, creaking and totally incurious.
December 4, 2024 at 10:02 PM
Big game for Christo - big game for Maresca too.
December 4, 2024 at 6:29 PM
It is the politicians who abandoned them over decades who are to blame.

All status-quo, neo-liberal and trickle-down. This is what you get. They are reaping what they have sown.
December 4, 2024 at 6:26 PM
That is what those in power appear currently to be doing.

I also agree it is our duty to oppose genocide.

Less comfortable with the generalisations and asserting an identity to them based on outcomes.
December 4, 2024 at 3:59 PM
I've not got a good read on your question - my apologies - is it rhetorical, sarcastic, or genuine?!
December 4, 2024 at 2:25 PM
It can be that way. I wonder if they see a lot of similarities between the left & right, & their own politics/values marginalised too.

& then theres all the abuse the left hurl at centrists - & more startlingly, the lack of empathy / willingness to understand centrists, their politics and virtues.
December 4, 2024 at 8:33 AM
Not sure about this. If it (the annoying bit) leads to reduction in consumption of animal products then absolutely, if it leads to people being further turned away from veganism I can't see it's value.
December 1, 2024 at 3:16 PM
Doubt Maresca will change up for Villa - but perhaps we'll see him again Southampton. He'll even have the cover of returning to Sanchez at the weekend given it's a midweek game.

It's rooted in morality.

It is also rooted in science.

A back up for Nico, ideally. Though if they were going to go for a new no. 9, I'd rather they went all out for Gyokeres, who seems to be the business, than someone like Isaak, who I don't think is really an improvement on Jackson.

More importantly - who do you think we should get as a new no. 1?
November 26, 2024 at 1:53 PM
I feel for the guy! Where do you think he fits in in the A-Team? He isn't a natural replacement for Jackson and he doesn't play out wide.

Seems a real shame that there's no natural place for him.
