Great to see fundamental reform of a very broken planning system. The amount of time, money & economic growth lost fighting constant planning appeals is insane. Everyone loses from planning friction — hopefully these changes will usher in a new era of abundant, high-quality homes and places.
This week we announced the most significant reform to national planning policy in decades.

A wholly restructured NPPF that maintains and builds on the initial revisions we made last year and incorporates new clear and rules-based national policies for plan and decision-making.

Excellent article by @danneidle.bsky.social - The country urgently needs pragmatic, pro-growth tax reform. Not more complexity, cliff-edges, and absurd marginal tax rates.

@darrenpjones.bsky.social @torstenbell.bsky.social - I really hope that someone in the government is looking into this...
I'm hoping to unite Left and Right - they'll all hate my piece in today's Sunday Times, saying that successive Budgets have overtaxed the highest-earning 20%, and under-taxed both the median earner and the richest 0.1%.https://buff.ly/BqRFpJr
