as for David Loiseau, he trained with the Blackzilians — when they split up, he (and we) followed Jorge Santiago to his new gym — so, he would fly to our gym in Florida from Canada to train with us — and I was there when he was promoted to black belt

my first bjj gym was the second one owned by Charles McCarthy — when it went out of business, he didn’t tell any of his students — instead he stopped going to the gym — eventually, the kid’s class instructor told us that it was closing that weekend — as a result, we all ended up at the Blackzilians
