I’m fully aware I’ve made this joke before. I don’t care. Every time I see you post about the Reds this is what I think of. Besides, the Mets aren’t making happy so I’ll make myself happy. Er… that’s not how I meant it. Oh whatever.

And she was such a wonderful advocate for animals. Margaret Houlihan is one of the best written and developed characters in TV history. It’s a shame she doesn’t get brought up more. Here’s to you Margaret and Loretta.

This reminds me of the scene in The Big Short where Brad Pitt’s character realizing what is happening is so much bigger than him, that he can’t alter it, tries to navigate it to his advantage. When he sees his younger partners celebrate he turns, spouts facts about the harsh realities and ends with:

Yeah, no shit. I think most people would agree that the government is bloated. Even Dems. But there’s a thoughtful way about addressing it and then there’s his way. Parts of it is necessary but real people lose jobs. People’s lives are affected. And you’re celebrating. Remember The Big Short?

I lost my boy 2 months ago. I still look for him. Still think I see him out the corner of my eye. Theres an emptiness in my chest I swear will never go away. The only solace I take is that I was fortunate enough to give him his best life and that he made me a better person. I hope you do the same
